Therapy is an invitation to explore life experiences in a safe and supportive environment; an opportunity to gain insight into what drives your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. My goal is to help clients liberate stuck consciousness and help them re-member their true selves. I provide a neutral ground to clients and my primary focus is working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression and impacts of trauma. I see my clients as the expert in their own lives and therapy as a chance to reconnect with their inner resources, and what gives them purpose and meaning.
I believe in the power of the imagination to aid in healing trauma and creating meaning in our lives. With an eclectic approach, I include processing of earlier life experiences, expressive arts, EMDR therapy, somatic awareness, mindfulness, humor, and nature as a metaphor, depending on my clients' needs and goals for therapy.
Sessions are 55 minutes long. I accept Jackson Care Connect (OHP) insurance and sliding scale ($125 - $180) for private pay payment received at time of service.
Miko the therapy dog is present for some sessions; he provides comic relief and the occasional snuggle (with consent).
