Therapy is an invitation to explore past and present experiences in a safe and supportive environment; an opportunity to gain insight into what drives your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. I believe in the power of therapy to navigate challenging times and learn new strategies to help us reach our potential. I see my clients as the expert in their own lives and therapy as a chance to reconnect with their inner resources, and what gives them purpose and meaning.
My approach to therapy is eclectic. I integrate processing of earlier life experiences, cognitive-behavioral therapy, somatic awareness, non-violent communication, humor, creative arts and nature as a metaphor, depending on my clients' needs and goals for therapy. Miko the therapy dog is present in most counseling sessions and provides comfort, comic relief, and the occasional snuggle, with consent of course.
Sessions are 55 minutes long, sliding scale is from $100-$175, and I accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP)/ Jackson Care Connect (JCC) insurance.
If you are interested in exploring my approach to therapy, please reach out to schedule a free 30 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit to work together.
