Therapy is an invitation to explore life experiences in a safe and supportive environment; an opportunity to gain insight into what drives your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. My goal is to help clients liberate stuck consciousness and help them re-member their true selves. I provide a neutral ground to clients and my primary focus is working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression and impacts of trauma. I see my clients as the expert in their own lives and therapy as a chance to reconnect with their inner resources, and what gives them purpose and meaning.
I believe in the power of the imagination to aid in healing trauma and creating meaning in our lives. With an eclectic approach, I include processing of earlier life experiences, expressive arts, EMDR therapy, somatic awareness, mindfulness, humor, and nature as a metaphor, depending on my clients' needs and goals for therapy.
Miko the therapy dog is present for some sessions and provides comic relief and the occasional snuggle (with consent).
Sessions are 55 minutes long, sliding scale is from $125-$175, and I accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP)/ Jackson Care Connect (JCC) insurance.
